Sometimes the path forward feels uncertain. Sometimes you wonder who you really are… or whether your life has value in the midst of disappointment, delay, or detours.
In moments like these, we must go back to the beginning—to the book of Genesis, where God's truth was first spoken over creation and humanity.
This is where your story starts—not with your past mistakes, pain, or fear—but with God's divine design, purpose, and goodness.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
Everything starts with God.
And you were not a mistake.
You were not overlooked.
You were created on purpose—with purpose.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” – Genesis 1:27 (KJV)
Truth Declaration™:
I am created in the image of God. I reflect His beauty, creativity, and value. I do not need to strive for worth—I already have it in Him.
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply… and have dominion…” – Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
Truth Declaration™:
God has entrusted me with responsibility and influence. I am not powerless—I walk in spiritual authority to steward what He has placed in my hands.
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” – Genesis 1:31 (KJV)
Truth Declaration™:
God called His creation good—including me. I am not defined by the world’s opinion or my past. I am declared good by my Creator.
When Hagar fled from affliction, it was in the wilderness that she discovered one of God’s names: El Roi, the God who sees.
“Thou God seest me…” – Genesis 16:13 (KJV)
Truth Declaration™:
God sees me in every wilderness. I am not invisible or forgotten. My steps are ordered, and I am fully known and deeply loved.
Joseph's story in Genesis ends with a powerful revelation of God's sovereignty.
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good…” – Genesis 50:20 (KJV)
Truth Declaration™:
Every trial, betrayal, and loss is under God’s authority. He is working all things for good. My story will not end in defeat, but in redemption.
Genesis is more than a story—it is the foundation of our mindset as believers:
God is the Creator → You are intentionally designed
God gives dominion → You are empowered
God speaks truth → You can reject the serpent’s lies
God covers shame → You are redeemed
God keeps His promises → You can trust His timing
Try speaking these aloud each morning this week:
“I was created with purpose and care.”
“God’s truth defines me, not the world.”
“He sees me, knows me, and walks with me.”
“Even in the waiting, God is working.”
“My life reflects God’s glory—on purpose.”
“Let there be light: and there was light.” – Genesis 1:3 (KJV)
God still speaks light into dark places. And when He speaks—everything changes.
Genesis reminds us that the beginning was beautiful, and your beginning still speaks.
God has not changed. His truth still stands. And when you choose a Truth Mindset™, you choose to build your life on what He has said, not what the enemy whispers.
Start your day not with fear, but with truth—from the very first page of Scripture.
With love and truth,
