In our world of constant noise, schedules, and demands, Christian women often struggle to find quiet moments with God.
We long for deeper connection, yet we feel pulled in too many directions — family, work, ministry, friendships, obligations.
But then we look at Jesus.
“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.” — Luke 5:16 (KJV)
If Jesus, the Son of God, needed to regularly withdraw and pray,
how much more do we?
This is a lie many women believe without realizing it.
It sounds like:
“I will pray when life settles down.”
“God understands how busy I am.”
“I need to get everything else done first.”
But here’s the truth:
Truth Declaration:
“Time with God is not extra — it is essential. My soul is nourished in His presence, and my life is strengthened by His Spirit.”
People, needs, and opportunities surrounded Jesus.
But He continually chose communion with His Father over constant activity.
He withdrew to:
Listen — to hear the Father’s voice above the crowd.
Align — to stay connected to His purpose and mission.
Receive strength — to face the demands of His calling.
If Jesus modeled this for us, it is not weakness to pull away — it is wisdom.
It might be a corner chair, a walk outside, or even your parked car.
God is not limited to church walls — He meets you in your everyday spaces.
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” — James 4:8 (KJV)
Set a small, realistic goal:
5 minutes of silence before your day begins
A Scripture reading during lunch
A short evening prayer walk
Small faithfulness builds deep roots.
You do not need a perfect journal, the right playlist, or fancy words.
Simply come.
Let your heart breathe before God — in praise, lament, gratitude, or quiet.
