“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32 (KJV)
Have you ever caught yourself believing a quiet, nagging voice that says:
“You are not enough.”
“You will never change.”
“You are too broken to be used by God.”
These thoughts may feel true in the moment, but they are lies that keep us stuck in what I call lie-locked living. It is the trap of letting fear, shame, and falsehood define our identity instead of God’s Word.
Lie-locked living happens when we unknowingly build our lives around unbiblical beliefs:
Comparing ourselves to others and feeling unworthy
Striving endlessly to earn approval
Letting past failures dictate our future
But here is the hope: Jesus came to unlock every lie. Through His Word and the Holy Spirit, we can renew our minds and live free.
Romans 12:2 (KJV) says:
“Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...”
Renewal begins when we:
1️⃣ Identify the lie we have believed.
2️⃣ Replace it with God’s truth from Scripture.
3️⃣ Declare that truth aloud until it reshapes our thoughts.
Truth: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” (2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV)
➡️ Declare: “In Christ, I am made new. My past does not define my future.”
Truth: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14, KJV)
➡️ Declare: “God is my strength and defender. I am never alone.”
Truth: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13, KJV)
➡️ Declare: “I am fully equipped by Christ for every good work.”
Start your morning in Scripture. Anchor yourself in God’s promises before the day begins.
Write and speak Truth Declarations. Replace lies with living truth until it becomes your mindset.
Surround yourself with encouragers. Walk with women who will remind you of your worth in Christ.
What lies have I unknowingly built my life around?
What truth from God’s Word can I declare today to combat them?
How would my life look if I fully lived free from these lies?
