The lights are twinkling, the to-do lists are growing, and the calendar is filling up fast.
In all the excitement and preparation for the most wonderful time of the year… let us pause and ask:
Are we choosing relationship—or just checking off responsibilities?
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Christian women often feel the pressure to perform. We decorate, plan, shop, and host. But sometimes, the one thing that matters most—the relationship—gets buried beneath it all.
Before the cradle, before the cross, there was connection.
God walked with Adam and Eve in the garden. He spoke to Moses face-to-face. He sent His Son not just to save us—but to dwell among us.
📖 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21 (KJV)
This is the heartbeat of Christmas: God drawing near. Should we not do the same?
Holiday gatherings can be sacred or strained—depending on what we bring to the table. Unspoken hurts, unmet expectations, and lingering tension can rob the season of its joy. But what if this year, you went in with a new mindset?
A Truth Mindset.
One that says:
“I will forgive before I arrive.”
“I will show grace instead of holding a grudge.”
“I will pursue peace, not pettiness.”
That kind of preparation is far more powerful than any dish you could bring.
📖 “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” – Romans 12:18
It is tempting to think that love looks like Pinterest-worthy tablescapes or perfectly wrapped gifts. But true love looks like presence—not perfection.
💬 Listen closely.
💛 Hug longer.
🙏 Pray together.
🕊️ Make eye contact and offer your full heart.
The people around you will not remember how clean your house was… but they will remember how seen and valued they felt in your presence.
This is where Christian life coaching becomes such a gift.
It gives you space to:
Process emotions with grace and truth
Set boundaries that protect peace
Communicate with love, not fear
Prepare to serve without self-neglect
Refocus your mindset to honor God in relationships
You can go into Christmas whole, not hurried. Strong, not striving.
Jesus said the world would know us by our love (John 13:35).
Not our table settings. Not our baking skills. Not our holiday hustle.
❤️ What if your greatest gift this year was simply your love—pure, unconditional, and rooted in Christ?
That might mean a phone call to a distant family member.
A handwritten card to someone you have not spoken to in years.
A prayer whispered in private for a hurting friend.
Christmas is not a performance. It is a person. And that person—Jesus Christ—came to reconcile us to God… and to one another.
If your relationships are strained… or if you long for a deeper connection with God and others… I invite you to take a step of faith.
Christian life coaching can help you walk through healing, set holy boundaries, and build the kind of relationships that reflect the love of Christ.
📩 Let us talk. You can choose relationship this Christmas—and I would be honored to walk with you.
“Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” – Proverbs 31:25 (KJV)
