How God, Jesus, and Coaching Transform Lives

๐Ÿ“– “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.” — Proverbs 20:5 KJV

From the Garden of Eden to the Gospels, questions have shaped the course of humanity.
A single question can reveal truth, expose lies, and open the door to transformation.

In the Bible, we see how the enemy used a question to deceive — how God used a question to redeem — and how Jesus used questions to awaken hearts and renew minds.

And today, in the sacred space of Christian Life Coaching, questions still hold divine power — not to condemn, but to call forth truth, clarity, and growth.

๐ŸŒฟ When the Wrong Question Changed the World

In Genesis 3, the serpent asked Eve a question that changed everything:

๐Ÿ“– “Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” — Genesis 3:1 KJV

It sounded innocent. Curious. Even thoughtful. But this question was designed to plant doubt — to distort God’s truth and make Eve question His goodness.

The first lie in history began not with a statement, but with a question that questioned truth.
That is the nature of deception — it starts with confusion.

Every “Did God really say?” moment in our lives comes to challenge our confidence in God’s Word.
And that’s why we need truth-centered thinking — a Truth Mindset™ that recognizes when questions are meant to deceive versus when they’re meant to deliver.

๐Ÿ’Ž When God Asked a Question to Restore

After Adam and Eve disobeyed, God did not begin with condemnation.
He began with a question:

๐Ÿ“– “And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?” — Genesis 3:9 KJV

God already knew where Adam was.
He did not ask because He lacked information; He asked because He desired relationship.

This divine question was not for God’s awareness — it was for Adam’s awakening.
It was an invitation to confession, repentance, and reconnection.

Even in failure, God used a question to reach the heart.
He still does.

When He asks “Where are you?” today, He is inviting us to reflect:

  • Where are you spiritually?

  • Where are you emotionally?

  • Where are you avoiding My truth?

Awareness is always the first step to transformation — and awareness often begins with a question.

โœจ When Jesus Used Questions to Reveal Truth

Throughout His ministry, Jesus used questions not to test intelligence but to transform perspective.

He asked questions that made people think, reflect, and see differently.

  • “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” (Matthew 16:13)

  • “What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” (Mark 10:51)

  • “Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?” (Matthew 8:26)

  • “Do you believe I am able to do this?” (Matthew 9:28)

Each question was an invitation to faith, reflection, and ownership.

Jesus didn’t hand people answers; He guided them to discover truth for themselves — because transformation that’s discovered is more lasting than truth that’s dictated.

That’s the same heart behind Christian coaching — helping people uncover truth, not handing them quick solutions.

๐ŸŒธ Coaching: The Art of Asking Transformational Questions

Christian life coaching is a ministry of listening, discerning, and asking questions that lead clients toward God’s truth.

Coaches do not give advice like consultants.
They do not diagnose like therapists.
They do not preach like pastors.

They ask questions that help women discover, clarify, and align with the life God designed for them.

Just like Jesus, a skilled coach knows that better questions lead to better answers.

Here’s the difference between surface-level questions and transformational questions:

Surface-Level Transformational
“What’s wrong?” “What do you sense God is showing you in this situation?”
“Why can’t you change?” “What belief might be keeping you from taking the next step?”
“What do you want?” “What would obedience look like in this area of your life?”

A great coach listens for what’s not being said, for what lies beneath the words — the patterns, emotions, and beliefs shaping the story.

๐Ÿ’ฌ The Levels of Listening in Christian Coaching

Listening is the foundation of effective coaching — and in Christian coaching, it’s also an act of love.

There are three key levels of listening:

1. Internal Listening (Level 1)

This is where most conversations stay — focused on your own thoughts, reactions, or judgments.
A Christian coach moves beyond this to be fully present for the client.

2. Focused Listening (Level 2)

Here, the coach listens closely to the client’s words, tone, emotions, and values.
They reflect back insights that help the client gain awareness.

3. Global Listening (Level 3)

This is where spiritual discernment comes in — listening not only to the client but also to the Holy Spirit.
It’s about sensing God’s movement, the unspoken truths, and divine direction.

๐Ÿ“– “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” — Revelation 2:7 KJV

This deeper listening allows clients to experience breakthroughs faster — because they are guided not only by logic but by the Spirit of Truth.

๐ŸŒฟ Coaching Gets Results — Because It Honors Process

In life, many people know what to do — but they’re unsure why they aren’t doing it.
That’s where coaching makes the difference.

A coach helps bridge the gap between knowing and doing by uncovering the mindset and beliefs that shape behavior.

It’s not about getting over the past — it’s about designing the future.

๐Ÿ“– “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” — Philippians 3:13 KJV

When a woman learns to replace lies with truth, align her heart with Scripture, and take intentional action — transformation begins to unfold in every area of her life.

And it all starts with a question.

๐Ÿ’ก The Truth Mindset™ Connection

The Truth Mindset™ begins with awareness — the courage to question the lies you’ve believed.
Through coaching questions, clients learn to:

  • Target the Lie that keeps them stuck.

  • Replace it with Scripture that brings peace.

  • Understand Its Meaning through reflection.

  • Turn It into a Declaration of faith.

  • Hold It in Prayer until transformation takes root.

This process rewires the mind, renews perspective, and realigns the heart with truth.

Even science confirms what Scripture teaches — thoughts create neural pathways.
When truth replaces lies, the brain literally changes.
Romans 12:2 was neuroscience before neuroscience.

๐ŸŒธ A Practical Example

Let’s say a woman wants to lose weight — but she constantly feels unmotivated.

  • A consultant might give her a diet plan.

  • A therapist might explore her emotional relationship with food.

  • A mentor might share what worked for her.

  • A discipler might encourage her to honor her body as the temple of the Holy Spirit.

  • A coach will ask, “What does health mean to you in this season?” and “What belief might God be asking you to let go of?”

The difference is that coaching doesn’t tell — it helps the client discover.

And what is discovered through revelation lasts far longer than what is handed down through instruction.

โœจ The Question that Changes Everything

When Jesus asked Peter, “Whom do ye say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15 KJV), He invited Peter into revelation.
Peter’s answer — “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” — was the moment that changed his identity and calling forever.

That’s what the right question does.
It reveals truth.
It transforms perspective.
It awakens purpose.

Christian life coaching uses questions in the same Spirit — to help women rediscover truth, renew faith, and realign with who God says they are.

โœจ Truth Declaration

“I welcome questions that stretch my faith, renew my mind, and align my life with God’s truth. I am not afraid to look deeper, because the truth sets me free.”

๐Ÿ“– “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32 KJV
