Step 2 in the TRUTH Mindset™ Framework
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." — Psalm 119:105 KJV
In the first step of the TRUTH Mindset™ Framework, we learned to Target the Lie by identifying false beliefs that have been shaping our thoughts, emotions, and actions. But awareness alone will not set us free. A weed pulled up without being replaced leaves empty ground, ready for another seed — possibly another lie — to take root.
That is why the second step is Replace with Scripture — an intentional choice to anchor your mind in the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
The world’s advice often changes with trends, opinions, and feelings. God’s Word never changes. His truth has remained steadfast through every culture, generation, and season of life.
Jesus said in John 17:17: "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
When we replace the lies we have believed with Scripture, we are not just “thinking positively” — we are realigning our minds with eternal truth.
The word anchor paints a vivid picture: something heavy, secure, and immovable that keeps a ship from drifting in a storm. Life will bring waves of difficulty, but a mind anchored in God’s Word will remain steady.
Without an anchor:
We drift with every emotional high and low.
We react impulsively instead of responding with wisdom.
We are easily influenced by other people’s words instead of God’s.
With an anchor:
We return to the truth even when feelings try to pull us away.
We find peace in uncertainty.
We have a reliable compass for every decision.
Maria had struggled with insecurity for years, constantly comparing herself to others. Through coaching, she identified the core lie: “I am not enough.”
Once exposed, we anchored her heart in the truth of Ephesians 2:10 KJV: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
By memorizing, meditating on, and speaking this verse daily, Maria’s mindset began to shift. Instead of defining herself by her flaws, she started seeing herself as God’s masterpiece. Over time, her decisions, boundaries, and confidence reflected this truth.
Use a Bible concordance or online search to find verses that speak directly against the false belief.
Example:
Lie: “God has forgotten me.”
Truth Verse: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." — Hebrews 13:5 KJV
Place it where you will see it daily — on your bathroom mirror, phone background, or desk.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Speaking truth helps you own it.
Thank Him for His promise and ask Him to help you believe it deeply.
Align your actions with the truth you have declared. If the lie says, “You cannot,” take a step of obedience as though you can.
🕊️ "God’s Word is my anchor. His truth steadies me in the storm, guides my decisions, and transforms my mind. I choose Scripture over the lies of the enemy."
When you replace the lie with Scripture, you are not just changing your thoughts — you are changing your foundation. The enemy thrives in deception, but he has no power over the truth of God’s Word.
This step will prepare you for the next in the TRUTH Mindset™ Framework: U – Understand Its Meaning (Alignment) — because it is not enough to simply know Scripture; you must understand and align your life with it.
Proverbs 31:25 – “Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.”
